About Gertec

Gertec has been in the market since 1989, designing high technology equipment and solutions for payment solutions, commercial and banking automation, survey solutions, query terminals and time-card systems. The company is present in the main financial institutions and in all retail, both in Brazil and abroad.
Gertec has a large engineering department for the development of its products, a modern factory with capacity for high production volumes, and a service unit focused on meeting the highest levels of services and deadlines in the market, covering the entire Brazilian territory.
These units work in synergy resulting in high flexibility for customizations and developments, great agility in decision-making and focus on continuous improvement of their products.

Our History

1989

Gertec is established in Rio de Janeiro.

1998

Gertec has its operations transferred to the São Paulo unity.

2000

Gertec opens its factory in Ilhéus – Bahia.

We started the production of the first PINpads, Query Terminals and Micro-terminals.

2003

Gertec expands factory in Ilhéus increasing the production capacity and implements the SMD line.

2008

Gertec celebrates the first large batch of PINpad produced, which was a watershed for the company’s success in higher volume sales.


The first Electronic Timecard “Marque Ponto” is produced.

2012

Gertec opens the Jabaquara office in São Paulo, and also expands the service facilities in Diadema.

2014

The first mPOS “MobiPIN 10” is produced, giving rise to the line of mobile equipment for payment solutions.

2016

Gertec increasing portfolio and launches the mPOS20. A milestone for its growth in mobility solution.

2017

Gertec wins the Award as one of the 100 largest growing Small and Medium-sized
Businesses in Brazil given by Delloite and Exame Magazine.

2018

A Gertec inaugura uma nova fábrica em Manaus – AM.

Social Responsibility

Gertec supports projects that follow principles of transparency and social responsibility, privileging the ethics, human development and quality of life of the communities where the company operates.



Abrigo Renascer (Renascer Shelter) – Ilhéus (BA): Created in 2001, Abrigo Renascer serves children from 0 to 11 years old at risk, as previously determined by the Juvenile Court judge, in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA).

Sementinha Project – Ilhéus (BA): The Sementinha Project serves needy pregnant women in the city of Ilhéus, aiming to insert them into the job market with professional training activities, as well as providing guidance on citizenship, social rights and health. It is possible to join the project at up to 20 weeks’ gestation and stay in it until the baby is three months old.

ACEAI – Associação Centro Educacional de Ação Integrada (Educational Center Association of Integrated Action) – Ilhéus (BA): ACEAI develops activities through integrated education, having as target audience children and adolescents living in the neighborhood. Working in partnership with the local community, the project values education, art and culture as a means of inserting young people in the labor market, improving their quality of life and their families and developing the self-esteem of the participants in the community as a whole.

SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Gertec adopts social and environmental management practices in compliance with current legislation and standards and, with a view to future generations, encourages the dissemination of the concept of sustainable development, in which the company must be economically viable, socially just and environmentally correct.

The preservation of natural resources and respect for the communities where the company operates are basic assumptions.

Gertec supports actions aimed at the formation of citizenship, through sustainable development in the places where it is inserted. Gertec promotes the rational use of natural resources, environmental preservation, recycling and waste reduction both internally and in its productive activities.

Through a management system, the company monitors its social and environmental performance to avoid regulatory penalties, and maintain itself in compliance with current legislation and standards. The company set targets for the following environmental aspects, considering the products manufactured:

• Energy consumption: reduction of 1.0% compared to last year. • Greenhouse gas emissions: reduction of 1.0% compared to last year. • Waste: reduction of 1.0% compared to last year.
